Canadian Giants have already hit by a shock rename of its hype BBX operating system, BBX OS has now been renamed to BB10 OS. BBX operating system is due to release in summer of next year.

Albuquerque based Basis international has claimed that it has the copyrights for the “BBX” name, so a court ruling in Albuquerque has suspended BlackBerry from using the name at its Asian DevCon conference on December 7-8 in Singapore.

RIM responded as “RIM doesn’t typically comment on pending litigation, however RIM has already unveiled a new brand name for its next generation mobile platform. As announced at DevCon Asia, RIM plans to use the ‘BlackBerry 10′ brand name for its next generation mobile platform,”
