We’ve just got over our pleasure for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1, and possible rumors of a smaller edition – one with an 8.9-inch screen – are by now coming around.
Samsung designed a poster on Facebook wall pointing an event called Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011, to be held by the 22nd of March. There’s even a micro site having the same design.
A mysterious tablet takes all the highlights on the poster. There’s clearly a front-facing camera, and at the bottom right corner of the tablet a barely-visible honeycomb pattern is iridescent. So it’s a tablet operating an Android 3.0 Honeycomb, then.
Samsung is releasing an 8.9-inch tablet? The number on the screen of the tablet, and we know that there’s already a 7-inch Tab and a 10-inch Tab. Couple that with recent rumors about an 8.9-inch Samsung tablet coming and we’ve got a pretty positive estimate.
By the way, today is the day Apple is expected to release its second generation iPad. Seems a big competition is on the way!
